Fawzia Reza has been invited to read her first children’s book Mary and her New Friends at the Redondo Beach Library in Redondo Beach, California, USA on April 11, 2019. She will introduce children to a young girl named Mary and how she makes new friends using henna art, a traditional art form practiced across South Asia and the Middle East. Children will enjoy the story and illustrations, while at the same time exposing them to a different culture. Fawzia will distribute book marks and coloring pages so children can create and color beautiful henna patterns inspired by the story. Come see Fawzia read her book at 10:15 AM at the Main Redondo Beach library branch and later at 1:00 PM at the North Redondo Beach library branch!
